Welcome to the West Monroe Historical Society web site. Here you will
find information about the town and its people as well as other communities
along the north shore of Oneida Lake. Use the directory at the left to
navigate this site. We would love to have you visit our museum which
is housed in the former West Monroe Grange Hall. If you can't visit,

MISSION STATEMENT
The purpose of the Society is to stimulate an interest in the history of the
Township of West Monroe, New York; to gather, preserve, display and make
available for study, artifacts, relics, books, manuscripts and other
records relating to the history of the Township of West Monroe; and to
encourage the suitable marking of places of historic interest.

Books are $22 and calendars
are $5.50 and can be purchased at the society, Thursday and Friday from 10 to 4. You can also order them by mail, e-mail or phone.
Shipping charge; Books - $2.50 each, Calendars - $2.00 each.
LOCATION
The West Monroe Historical Society is located at 2355 State Route 49 (south
side), 2.9 miles east of Interstate Route 81 and 0.1 miles west of County
Route 11.
HOURS
The society is open from 12 to 4 on
Thursday & Friday or by appointment.
